I felt the urge to seek a new location the next day after my long exposure shots at Anjafa Beach. So, I packed up my gear and made my way to AlKhiran, a captivating gem nestled on the southeast coast of Kuwait. As I arrived, I was greeted by the sun shining brightly against a clear blue sky. The water sparkled invitingly, but I couldn’t help but notice there were no clouds in sight—just an endless expanse of blue above. While the scenery was beautiful, I secretly wished for a few fluffy clouds to drift by, hoping they would help create that perfect balance of light and shadow for my photos. Even so, it felt like another adventure waiting to happen!
I captured a few stunning images, two of which truly stood out. I used Adobe Photoshop to transform the sky using the Sky Replacement feature. To elevate the dramatic effect, I applied motion blur to the sky, giving the illusion of a long exposure shot, where the ethereal clouds seem to glide gracefully across the horizon. Here, you can see both images: one reflecting the serene stillness of the original and the other showcasing the dynamic beauty achieved with a 15-stop Super Stopper neutral density LEE filter.
