The eyes are often considered the window to the soul, making them the most captivating feature in a portrait. They are typically the first aspect that draws our attention. It's essential to ensure that the eyes are sharp and in focus when capturing an image. However, those stunning eyes may be obscured by glare from eyeglasses, which can be distracting and ruin an otherwise beautifully shot photo. Don't worry; I'm here to help you address this issue.
When I stumbled upon the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G lens at the end of 2018, it was like finding a treasure. After reading numerous reviews, I knew it was the perfect lens for my Nikon D3400 cropped APS-C sensor, effectively acting like a 127.5mm lens. The bokeh and narrow field of view it provided for portrait photography were nothing short of magical. Despite its price, it was a decision I never regretted, and it inspired me to take my photography to new heights.
I conducted a trial shoot with my younger brother that same day I purchased the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G lens. I captured an interesting image; however, the glare on his eyeglasses was distracting.
Here is the image of him straight out of the camera.
It looks astonishing, except for the lousy composition and pose. I loved the lighting, background, colors, and contrast.
I did some retouching, and here is the final result.

The Gear I Used
Here are my various methods for removing glare from eyeglasses.
Properly adjust the light during the shoot and capture it correctly in-camera. It's better to prevent issues than to fix them later.
Shoot your subject with and without the glasses. Then, mask the eyes in Photoshop.
Clone the eyes, especially if one of the eyes is unaffected by the glare.
Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer.
Dodge and Burn for luminosity in the glared area. Then adjust the colour using a new layer with Color Blend mode to match the surrounding colour.
